Syracuse, which advanced to the Elite Eight in 2017, will participate in the international scrimmages as part of its fall slate.

Syracuse will host an international scrimmage — the first international lacrosse event in Syracuse since the World Indoor Lacrosse Championship in 2015 — at the Carrier Dome Sept. 28 through Oct. 1. SU, the Iroquois Nationals and Team Israel will play in the lacrosse weekend.

SU senior attack Brendan Bomberry played for Iroquois Nationals, which finished third at the 2014 FIL World Lacrosse Championships.

The Orange, coming off of a year in which it was ranked No. 1 in the country for three straight weeks, will play at 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Oct. 1 in the Carrier Dome. Tickets can be purchased for $10.

Also that weekend, the Haudenosaunee Wooden Stick Festival will include speakers and demonstrations of lacrosse, wooden stick making, native foods, arts, dance and culture. The events are free.

A box lacrosse tournament will be played on the Onondaga Nation Territory, about seven miles south of SU. Tickets are $15 per day and $25 for the tournament.

Later in the fall, Syracuse will host its annual alumni game, and scrimmage Stony Brook as well as the defending NCAA champion Maryland Terrapins.
